About

My passion for art and antiquities developed over many years. Alongside my career in the legal sector, I studied and collected art and antiquities from Asia, where I was immersed in a diverse range of cultures. My artistic sensibility and eye allowed me to progress into the art sourcing business.

I have always been drawn to the mountains and in particular to the Alps as they have at all times been a source of fascination. Their permanence, majesty and greatness surpass us. I now divide my time between Chamonix and London, which gives me the opportunity to combine my life-long passion for the mountains with my love of art.

The place of mountains in art has evolved over the centuries. From ancient times through the Middle Ages, where mountains merely inspired fear to the Romantic period of the 19th century followed by the pioneer artists-climbers capturing these stunning moments while ascending the alpine peaks.

Today, alpine art in its diverse form is entering into a fascinating new era. In the mountains, the impact of climate change provides a striking contrast that can be observed almost in real time. Glaciers, previously considered permanent, are now proven ephemeral. Today’s artists, in capturing this fragility, aim to raise awareness of climate change through their varied media while the work of previous generations provide testimony of this changing landscape.

Through extensive research, knowledge and collection of alpine artworks by artists who share the fascination with these magical summits, I am very happy to bring my expertise to all mountain art enthusiasts.
